CMTC Dental Assistant Program
Designed for individuals eager to enter the workforce quickly, this program combines essential classroom instruction with hands-on clinical experience. In just 12 weeks, you’ll be well-prepared to thrive in a fast-paced dental office environment and take your certification exam.
What You’ll Learn
Throughout this program, you’ll gain in-depth knowledge and practical skills in:
- Dental Office Procedures & Terminology – Learn how a dental office operates and become fluent in essential terminology used in daily practice.
- Clinical Skills – Develop key hands-on skills, including assisting in procedures, taking X-rays, sterilizing instruments, and delivering excellent patient care.
- Dental Anatomy & Oral Health – Study tooth and gum structures, and learn to identify common dental conditions and diseases.
- Dental Materials & Preventative Care – Work directly with dental materials and gain the ability to educate patients on oral hygiene and preventative treatments.
- Surgical Safety & Patient Care – Learn how to provide patient support while maintaining safety and confidentiality.
- Administrative Tasks – Train in scheduling, managing patient records, billing, and processing insurance claims.
Program Requirements
To enroll, students must:
- Be 18 years or older
- Provide a valid photo ID and Social Security card
- Have a High School Diploma or GED
- Pass a drug screen
- Wear red or black scrubs and closed-toe shoes
- Have access to a laptop, tablet, or desktop computer
CMTC offers rental and purchase options for students without access to a device.
Hybrid Learning Format
All CMTC programs are hybrid, requiring both in-person training and online coursework. Students must log in to the online classroom daily to complete assignments and stay on track.

- Tuition (if paid in full): $2,810
- Weekly Payment Plan: $212.50/week

Certification & Completion
Upon successful completion of the course, you’ll be eligible to sit for your Dental Assistant Certification Exam through the National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP) or an approved certification board.
